    Observe bed bugs in the various stages of their lifecycle - egg stage, nymph stage, and full adult stage. 
    Bed bugs that have a feeding source exhibit a life span of between 3 and 4 months. If no food source is readily available, bedbugs can enter a dormant stage and live up to 1 year and 3 months.
